Sparta Evolution Hires Mark Joseph as COO

(Redmond, WA) January 7, 2019 – Sparta Evolution is excited to announce the hiring of Mark Joseph as Chief Operations Officer. Mark has been in the performance automotive aftermarket industry for 26 years, all of which were spent with the company that his father, the late Oscar Joseph, founded in the 1970’s: DBA (Disc Brakes Australia). In his new position with Sparta Evolution he will be concentrating on all aspects of running the business, which will include the oversight of Accounting, Engineering, Logistics, Manufacturing, Operations, Purchasing, Quality and Research and Development.

Mark was born and raised in Sydney, Australia and currently resides in Pleasant Hills, CA with his wife Kylie and daughter Tahlia, his son Matthew lives in Washington state. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from TAFE (Technical and Further Education) NSW Northern Sydney and also Bachelor’s degrees in both Business and Engineering from UTS (University of Technology Sydney). He is also certified in QS9000 and TS16949 auditing, as well as AutoCAD.

Mark began his multifaceted career in the performance automotive aftermarket industry with DBA in 1992. There, he focused on engineering, manufacturing, operations and quality. Mark led his quality management team to earn certification of ISO9000, QS9000, TS16949 and TUV. He was also instrumental in securing design patents for DBA’s unique vane design.

He moved to the United States in 2005 to grow the business in the Americas by establishing warehouse logistics and national distribution. He will officially become a United States citizen in January 2019.

“My 26 years of experience at Disc Brakes Australia in various capacities has allowed me to gain extensive knowledge of the performance brake business. I believe that listening to the voice of our customers is paramount to success and responding to exceed their expectations will be my first priority”, explains Mark.

Mark will report directly to the Founder and CEO of Sparta Evolution, Jun Chun. Jun states, “The addition of Mark will help us immensely in our quest to become the top performance brake brand in the industry. We are committed for the long-term and will continue to invest in the best people and resources to achieve our goals. I believe that we are the sleeping giant in the performance brake industry and look forward to a great 2019!”
