Source: The SAE has announced the cancelation of the in-person annual Brake Colloquium & Exhibition scheduled for the fall and its transition to a virtual event. Here is the announcement posted on the SAE Website:

WARRENDALE, Penn. – Due to concerns around the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, SAE International has made the responsible decision to transition the Brake Colloquium & Exhibition to a virtual event and cancel the in-person event, originally scheduled for October 11-14, 2020, in San Antonio, Texas. Additional information for the virtual event will be made available in the coming weeks.

Before making this decision, we extensively monitored and evaluated health directives from governmental and international health authorities, government- and corporate-imposed travel restrictions, and distancing and gathering directives and recommendations. Our decision to transition to a virtual event aligns with our commitment to prioritizing the health and safety of our speakers, customers, partners and staff who attend our events, while continuing to share mobility knowledge in a digital platform. We apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation has caused.
