MEYLE has appointed Karl Varley as Head of Sales for the United Kingdom and Ireland. The German aftermarket parts manufacturer cited Varley’s commercial track record and deep market knowledge as key factors in the decision. His promotion reflects the company’s broader push to grow its presence across both regions.

Internal Promotion Signals Strategic Focus

Kirsten Rothe, Vice President Sales Europe at MEYLE, described Varley as a natural fit for the position. She noted his technical understanding, commercial experience, and established customer relationships as assets that position him well to lead the regional sales team.

Before joining MEYLE, Varley held technical and business development roles with a global supplier of car and truck parts. That background spans international buying groups and independent motor factors, giving him broad industry perspective.

Growth and Partnership Priorities

In his new role, Varley will lead efforts to expand the sales team, strengthen customer partnerships, and pursue new market opportunities across the UK and Ireland.

Varley said MEYLE has built strong momentum in recent years. His focus, he noted, will be on sustainable growth and reinforcing the brand’s position in the independent aftermarket.

He also highlighted MEYLE’s engineering approach as a competitive differentiator — specifically, the company’s emphasis on developing parts that improve on OE standards rather than simply replicating them.

MEYLE develops, produces, and distributes more than 24,000 spare parts for passenger cars, vans, and commercial vehicles across 120 countries. The company operates under three product lines — MEYLE ORIGINAL, MEYLE PD, and MEYLE HD — covering both combustion engine and electrified vehicle applications.
