Tenneco is launching its Jurid 711 friction material for regional, long-distance and high-speed rail at InnoTrans 2026 this week, with the brake pad offered in 24 mm (0.94 in) and 35 mm (1.38 in) thicknesses. The company’s Braking and Industrial groups share Hall 1.2, Booth 560 at the Messe Berlin show, which runs September 22–25, 2026, while Tenneco Systems Protection exhibits in Hall 12, Booth 440, co-branded with Industrial Wire Group. The exhibit spans friction materials, DEVA self-lubricating bearing materials, and cable protection products for rolling stock and railway infrastructure.

What Does Jurid 711 Bring to Rail Braking?
Tenneco Braking says the 711 material delivers consistent braking behavior across a broad spectrum of operating conditions and speeds, with low wear rates that reduce life cycle cost. The two pad thicknesses give operators flexibility in matching the material to fleet and maintenance programs.
The company also reports that Jurid 711 is engineered to minimize braking noise and squeal, a factor in passenger comfort and in noise emissions around densely populated routes.

Alongside the launch, Tenneco Braking will show updated Jurid Sinter and Sinter Silence brake pad designs and present the brand’s latest material certifications for freight, commuter, regional and high-speed trains. The Jurid rail lineup most recently added the Jurid 847 2.0 LL brake block for freight wagons.
DEVA Sliding Materials for Railway Components
Tenneco’s Industrial group is presenting DEVA sliding materials, led by deva.tex 518, a fiber-reinforced bearing material for railway applications. The company says the material is built to operate under sustained and shock loads and in demanding environmental conditions, combining mechanical strength, tribological performance and chemical resistance.
Its two-layer composite structure suits railway components where maintenance-free operation, long service life and operational reliability are critical. Typical applications the company lists include:
- Suspension systems
- Brake linkages
- Bogie components
- Couplings
- Door systems and other moving parts exposed to vibration, moisture, dirt and temperature fluctuations
By reducing wear and maintenance requirements, DEVA materials are intended to improve rolling stock availability and efficiency while supporting lower life cycle costs, according to Tenneco. More on the bearing line is available at deva-bearings.com.
Systems Protection Exhibit
The Tenneco Systems Protection display covers abrasion, thermal, electrical and electromagnetic interference protection for rolling stock and railway infrastructure. Two products are called out:
- Fyrejacket HL LTE — protective sleeving for critical cabling that the company says enables railway manufacturers to meet European fire safety standards without complex and expensive fire tests.
- Silicone Tape 77FR — a self-amalgamating tape for sealing, connecting, repairing and finishing the cut ends of sleeves exposed to high temperatures.

The rail exhibit builds on the company’s 2022 InnoTrans appearance, when the same three businesses showed the Jurid 847 LL block, ROUNDIT EMI DW shielding and deva.tex 544 across three separate halls.
