EBC Brakes has introduced a new line of single-piece brake rotors designed as direct replacements for factory-installed riveted discs. The rotors target BMW and select Toyota models, offering a cost-effective alternative to OE components. Additionally, the company says the new parts deliver improved quality and braking performance compared to original equipment.
Highlights
- EU-manufactured single-piece rotors replace OE riveted discs on BMW and Toyota models at lower cost than dealer parts.
- R90-approved construction with directional vanes improves cooling and brake effectiveness across a wide temperature range.
- Broad BMW coverage spans 1-Series through 8-Series, X3 through X7, Z4, i4, and iX models in F and G generations.
- Toyota GR Supra is included in the initial launch, with more applications expected soon.
Design and Manufacturing Details
The replacement rotors are cast and machined in the European Union. Each disc carries R90 approval, confirming compliance with European braking performance standards. As a result, the rotors meet regulatory requirements for road use across applicable markets.
A key design feature is the use of directional internal vanes. These vanes promote airflow through the rotor, improving heat dissipation during braking. In turn, this helps maintain consistent stopping power across varying temperature conditions.
Vehicle Applications
The initial product range covers a wide selection of BMW platforms. Current applications include:
- BMW 1-Series (F models)
- BMW 2-Series (F and G models)
- BMW 3-Series (F and G models)
- BMW 4-Series (F and G models)
- BMW 5-Series, 6-Series, and 7-Series (G models)
- BMW 8-Series (G models)
- BMW i4 and iX
- BMW X3, X5, X6, and X7 (G models)
- BMW Z4 (G models)
- Toyota GR Supra
EBC notes that additional vehicle applications are in development. A full and updated list of fitments is available through the EBC Brakes website.
Availability
The new single-piece replacement rotors are available now through authorized EBC stockists. Consumers and trade buyers can locate dealers through the company’s online stockist finder.
