Pad Options for Classic Applications

Ultimax2

The Ultimax2 is positioned as a daily-driver pad compatible with petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles. The pads meet or exceed OEM specifications and carry full R90 approval. Key design features include center slots, edge chamfers, and an EBC Brake-In surface coating. The coating conditions rotors after installation and accelerates the bed-in process. Hardware and wear indicators are included where factory-fitted as standard. Independent testing at the MIRA research facility confirmed that Ultimax2 pads produce shorter stopping distances than original equipment.

Greenstuff

Greenstuff pads use a softer friction compound specifically developed for lower-speed urban driving — a profile that suits many classic car use cases. The softer formulation extends pad service life and improves pedal feel at lower speeds. In controlled testing, Greenstuff pads stopped a vehicle 20 feet shorter than stock pads. Like Ultimax2, they feature full shimming, chamfering, slotting, and the Brake-In surface coating.

Standard D Discs

EBC’s Standard D Discs are cast from G3000 grey iron — the same material specification used in original equipment production. Each rotor is precision-machined, balanced, and individually inspected for runout to prevent disc distortion out of the box. The product includes a 10,000-mile or 12-month warranty. EBC positions these as a direct OEM replacement suitable for owners who want reliable, consistent stopping without deviation from factory geometry.
