DON Expands High-End CV Pad Range

CLECKHEATON, U.K. — TMD Friction UK has expanded its DON range of high-end commercial vehicle (CV) braking products with the introduction of a new truck brake pad.

The addition to the DON range provides an aftermarket brake pad for Mercedes-Benz Actros, Antos, Arocs and Econic heavy commercial vehicles, fitting either the front or rear axle.

DON’s new brake pad CVP131K is compatible with Wabco Maxx™22L braking systems that deliver industry-leading lightweight caliper technology.

The new brake pad is manufactured with TMD Friction UK’s lightweight technology, featuring a lighter backing plate, which is compensated for by an underlayer with a lower specific weight than steel, but retains high durability and load-bearing capacity.

The new brake pad CVP131K is manufactured with DON’s high end 8750 friction material, proven across various high-caliber disc brake applications for various commercial vehicle manufacturers.

DON 8750 is a universal disc brake material with high friction level, low-wear, excellent frictional stability and disc compatibility. The material covers all commercial vehicle applications across truck, bus and trailer, covered by ECE-R90 regulations to surpass legislated performance requirements.

DON has been at the forefront of brake friction technology for more than 100 years. With a reputation for uncompromising quality and reliability, DON has retained its position as a strong market player in developing and supplying braking solutions for commercial vehicles, buses and coaches.
