DFC Adds Brake Coverage for Acura ZDX EVs

DFC expands its aftermarket brake catalog with 5000 Series pads and GeoSpec rotors for the 2024–2026 Acura ZDX electric SUV.

Dynamic Friction Company (DFC) has expanded its aftermarket brake catalog to include the 2024–2026 Acura ZDX, Acura’s all-electric luxury SUV. The new coverage pairs DFC 5000 Series brake pads with GeoSpec coated rotors for both A-Spec and Type S variants.

Highlights

  • DFC now offers front and rear brake pads and rotors for the 2024–2026 Acura ZDX
  • Coverage includes both A-Spec and Type S variants
  • The lineup pairs DFC 5000 Series pads with GeoSpec corrosion-resistant rotors
  • Components are available individually or as complete brake kits

EV-Specific Braking Demands

The Acura ZDX presents distinct braking challenges common to electric vehicle platforms. Higher curb weight from battery packs places greater stress on friction materials and rotors. Additionally, regenerative braking systems alter the wear patterns that traditional brake components experience.

DFC said its 5000 Series pads deliver stable friction performance and reduced noise. The GeoSpec rotors feature a protective coating designed to resist corrosion from moisture and road salt exposure.

Part Number Reference

  • Front Brake Pads: DFC 5000 Series — 1551-2371-00
  • Rear Brake Pads: DFC 5000 Series — 1551-2174-00
  • Front Rotors: GeoSpec Coated — 604-47095
  • Rear Rotors: GeoSpec Coated — 604-47096

Fitment and Installation

DFC said the components follow OE specification design for precise fitment. The company highlighted quiet braking, reduced vibration, and consistent pedal feel as key attributes. These features aim to simplify installation for technicians while meeting the performance expectations of EV owners.

The coverage expansion is part of DFC’s ongoing effort to support modern vehicle platforms in the aftermarket. The company continues to add part numbers for EVs and other late-model applications.
