Dr. Brian P. Hearing Joins GBSC

Dr. Brian P. Hearing currently serves as Vice President of Research and Development at BrakeAudit. Prior to BrakeAudit, Dr. Hearing was co-founder of DroneShield (ASX:DRO), a manufacturer of acoustic detection systems. โ€œOur BrakeAudit systems are used by law enforcement, fleet management, eDVIR, autonomous vehicles and platooning,โ€ stated Brian. โ€œOur goal is to improve braking safety in vehicles, with a focus on detecting brakes with problems โ€“ this falls within the testing mission of GBSC.โ€

Dr. Hearingโ€™s career spans nearly two decades in engineering and defense companies and government agencies including the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). In the private sector he has worked for Raytheon and the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA). He earned his Doctorate and Masters of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), his Bachelors of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), and was also Visiting Researcher at Swiss Federal Laboratories (ETH Zurich). He is the recipient of the Department of Defense Meritorious Service Medal and two National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citations. 

The GBSCโ€™s current Chairman, Scott Lambert said: โ€œThe GBSC is very fortunate to have Brian, as we are certain that his experience, insight and determination will serve the GBSC well.โ€
