Prime Products for Passenger Cars and LCVs
Brembo’s Prime brake discs and pads for passenger cars and LCVs are engineered to provide smooth and effective brake control. The brake discs are made from OE-specification, high-carbon cast iron, which helps minimize noise and vibration while maximizing performance. A patented internal pillar ventilation system improves cooling and disc resistance. Furthermore, the discs feature a market-first, solvent-free UV surface coating developed with car makers to protect against corrosion, with a salt spray test resistance of over 240 hours. For premium cars, a selection of two-piece Prime discs is available in Composite, Floating, Co-cast, Lightweight, and Dual Cast options, incorporating lighter materials and designs.
To complement the discs, Brembo offers a complete selection of Prime brake pads. These pads use eco-friendly friction materials specific to each vehicle to ensure long-lasting performance and comfort. The friction compound undergoes careful scorching and is directional to prevent fading and reduce noise and vibration. Other noise-reducing features include patented damping weights, chamfers, slots, and multi-layer piston shims. A copper-free Prime Ceramic pad range is also offered, providing low dust emissions and improved durability. For easier installation, each pad includes a wear indicator and a fitting accessory kit.
The range also includes Prime calipers specifically designed for the high-mileage demands of LCVs, ensuring reliable and efficient braking. These can be paired with a Brembo bracket for a complete and safe service of the braking system.
Solutions for Commercial Vehicles
For heavy-duty applications, Brembo provides Prime brake discs and pads for commercial vehicles. The durable Prime CV disc lineup includes standard, Co-cast, and Ring options. These advanced technologies deliver superior mechanical resistance, improved heat dissipation, and a reduction in thermal cracks, extending the life of the discs over thousands of kilometers. The Ring discs also come with fittings that allow for surface maintenance without needing to replace the entire hub. The Prime CV pads are perfectly matched to the discs, incorporating 18 different friction materials and 30 components to meet diverse heavy-duty needs.
