Apec Red Range Gains 51 New Brake Parts

Apec has added 51 new products to its Apec Red braking range, including 44 brake calipers, with new fitments covering the Vauxhall Vivaro E, BYD Atto 3, and Volvo EX30.

Apec has added 51 new products to its Apec Red braking range, including 44 brake calipers. The UK aftermarket supplier said the additions, released this month, are aimed at independent garages and automotive professionals. New brake pad sets and brake cables round out the update. The additions expand Apec’s braking range, which also includes Apec Black for luxury vehicles and Apec Blue for fast-moving applications.

Highlights

  • 51 new products join the Apec Red braking range, including 44 brake calipers
  • Rear brake calipers now cover the 2020-and-newer Vauxhall Vivaro E
  • Front brake pads added for the 2022-and-newer BYD Atto 3 and the 2023-and-newer Volvo EX30
  • Apec says the Red range carries a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty and 99% vehicle coverage

Calipers Dominate the Latest Red Range Update

Calipers account for the large majority of the release, with 44 of the 51 new part numbers falling into that category. Brake pad sets and brake cables make up the remainder. The weighting continues a pattern in Apec’s Red range releases, which have leaned heavily on caliper coverage — the range was expanded by 34 parts earlier this summer.

Which Vehicles Do the New Parts Cover?

Apec identified three applications as the headline fitments in the August release:

VehicleModel YearsNew Component
Vauxhall Vivaro E2020 and newerRear brake calipers
BYD Atto 32022 and newerFront brake pads
Volvo EX302023 and newerFront brake pads

Warranty and Vehicle Coverage

Apec states that Red range components are engineered and tested to meet or exceed OEM standards for stopping power out of the box. The company reports vehicle coverage of 99% for the range and backs the components with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.

Where Apec Red Sits in the Lineup

Apec Red is the volume tier in a three-range structure. Apec Black targets luxury vehicles and Apec Blue covers fast-moving applications, a segmentation the company also carries through its product catalog interface. Apec has operated in the automotive aftermarket for more than 60 years, supplying braking components to the UK and Ireland, and has since extended its catalog into coil springs, shock absorbers, and other chassis parts.
