ABT Secures Global Distribution Deal

Advanced Braking Technology Ltd has announced an exclusive global distribution agreement with RaptorTech Pty Ltd for BrakeiQ, a cutting-edge auto braking system designed to integrate with Collision Avoidance Systems (CAS). This partnership aims to expand ABT’s footprint, especially in untapped markets such as open-cut mining. BrakeiQ is initially compatible with Caterpillar and Komatsu models, with customization available for other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Key Highlights:

  • Exclusive Global Rights: ABT will exclusively distribute BrakeiQ globally for three years, with a renewal option.
  • White Label Branding: ABT will market BrakeiQ under its own branding.
  • OEM Compatibility: BrakeiQ is compatible with 30+ Caterpillar models and Komatsu models, with further customization available.
  • Strategic Expansion: The partnership aims to tap into new markets like open-cut mining.
  • Initial Revenue Boost: An initial purchase from RaptorTech will generate approximately $1.1 million in revenue for ABT.

BrakeiQ is built to comply with ISO 21815-2 standards and EMESRT Level 9 intervention, ensuring seamless integration with existing CAS. The product is designed for versatility across machine types, including compatibility with Caterpillar wheel loaders and dozers as well as Komatsu models. Customization for other OEMs requires just 2-4 weeks for development and deployment.

This agreement provides exclusive rights for ABT to distribute, market, and sell BrakeiQ, with a three-year initial term and an option for renewal. It also includes a clause for further development, enhancing BrakeiQ’s compatibility with other systems or vehicles. The exclusivity will be reviewed biannually, contingent on meeting performance criteria.

ABT believes this partnership will drive incremental revenue and facilitate market share growth in new sectors, including above-ground mining and previously unserviced geographical regions. The initial inventory purchase from RaptorTech is valued at $1.1 million, with funding drawn from available cash on hand.

Andrew Booth, CEO of ABT, stated, “ABT’s strategic innovation focus in the Collision Avoidance Systems (CAS) space offers a significant growth opportunity via increasing applications as a leading safety OEM brand in the mining market. We are thrilled to partner with RaptorTech to bring our safety solutions to clients in Australia and globally. RatporTech has a proven track record of providing top-tier safety technology, and we’re confident that our partnership will provide ABT’s highly valued blue-chip customers with the best possible solutions and add further momentum towards ABT’s revenue expansion.”
