Wilwood Engineering has introduced new big brake kits for the Mazda MX-5 Miata, designed to enhance braking performance for both street and track use. These kits feature larger rotors and high-performance calipers, offering improved torque and efficiency. They are available for NA/NB (1990-2005) and ND (2016-2024) models, catering to a wide range of Miata owners. Whether upgrading for daily driving or track days, these kits provide a versatile, bolt-on solution compatible with factory components.

These kits are engineered for straightforward installation, requiring no modifications to factory hubs or spindles. They integrate seamlessly with the original equipment (OE) master cylinder and anti-lock braking system (ABS), if equipped. For street use, the kits offer 32-vane ULHP plain face or SRP drilled and slotted rotors, paired with lightweight, forged aluminum Dynalite four-piston calipers. These calipers come in standard gloss red or black powder coat, with 26 additional color options available for a surcharge.
For track enthusiasts, the kits include 40-vane GT slotted rotors featuring Wilwood’s Lug-Drive snap ring technology for a floating mount design. These are matched with Dynapro-ST calipers, which incorporate Thermlock™ pistons for better heat management and are finished in durable Type III Mil-Spec hard-anodize. Both street and track kits include premium components like braided stainless steel Flexlines and high-grade hardware.
Each kit comes with Wilwood’s BP-10 brake pads for street applications or BP-35 race-spec pads for track use, with other compounds available to match specific needs.
