TVS Motor New Star City Plus Disc-Brake Variant

CHENNAI, India – TVS Motor Company has launched its TVS Star City Plus disc-brake variant motorcycle at ₹68,465 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This means this model is ₹2,600 more expensive the standard version.

Distinguishing the new model from other version is the color – TVS Star City Plus disc-brake variant is available in a black/red two-tone.

According to TimesNowNews.com, “This means that TVS Star City Plus is now one of the cheapest motorcycles to get the option of front disc brake.”

There are no design changes from the standard model for the new version. Power comes from a 109cc motor producing 8 horsepower at 7,350 rpm with a peak torque of 6.6 pounds feet of torque at 4,500 rpm. Transmission is a four-speed unit.

TVS Motor’s Eco Thrust fuel-injection system, according to the company, helps improve fuel economy. TVS says it the BS6 is 15-percent better than the BS4 variant.

In addition to the front disc brake, a 110mm rear drum brake adds to the motorcycle’s stopping power.

Equipment includes an LED headlamp, a USB charger, semi-digital instrument cluster which includes an analog speedometer and a digital display for readouts like odometer, fuel gauge and clock.
