ESSEN, Germany – Kai Roggenland and TMD Performance GmbH will be going separate ways as of next year. After four successful years as Executive Director Motorsport at brake pad specialist PAGID Racing, based in Essen, Germany, he has decided to take on new responsibilities outside the TMD Friction Group.
Roggenland restructured the motorsport department, developed a clear OEM strategy and strengthened the worldwide PAGID Racing dealer network. As a result of these measures, TMD Performance GmbH was able to achieve a considerable increase in turnover during the past four years.
Further important elements of the success were the reorientation of the marketing strategy as well as the introduction of a clear brand image: PAGID Racing – THE DIFFERENCE IN BRAKING.
In all these measures, the focus was on the requirements and the success of the customers all the time, something also reflected by the customer service: the main goal of the motorsport team led by Roggenland is to help clients to get the best performance from their braking systems.
With success: the OEM and customer racing teams relying on PAGID Racing braking performance were able to secure over 120 championship titles, 880 wins and 1,600 podium finishes over the past four years.
Roggenland said, “I am looking back upon four great and successful years at TMD Performance GmbH, in which we as a team were able to successfully reposition the PAGID Racing brand and could celebrate numerous on- and off-track achievements. I am extremely grateful to the TMD management for the confidence they had in me to implement this structural transition.”
