Continental Engineering Services (CES) has equipped the KTM X-Bow GT2 and GT-XR models with advanced braking systems, offering tailored solutions for track performance and road safety. This collaboration highlights CES’s expertise in developing cutting-edge braking technology for both motorsport and road-legal applications.

Key Highlights:

  • KTM X-Bow GT2 2020: Track-focused with CES’s Motorsports ABS Kit for precision braking.
  • KTM X-Bow GT-XR: Road-legal variant featuring the MK100 electronic brake system with ABS, TCS, and ESC/AYC.
  • Seamless integration of motorsports performance and road functionality.
  • Collaborative engineering ensured regulatory compliance without compromising driving dynamics.

Track-Optimized Braking for KTM X-Bow GT2 2020

The KTM X-Bow GT2 2020 benefits from CES’s Motorsports ABS Kit, a Plug & Play system tailored for professional race teams and track enthusiasts. Designed specifically for the GT2, the system provides consistent, precise braking under extreme racing conditions.

This fine-tuning enables the vehicle to perform at peak efficiency on the track, delivering uncompromising braking performance and enhancing driver control during high-speed maneuvers.

Balancing Performance and Compliance for KTM X-Bow GT-XR

For the road-legal KTM X-Bow GT-XR, CES integrated the MK100 electronic brake system, which includes:

  • ABS (Anti-lock Braking System): Ensures safe, controlled braking in various conditions.
  • TCS (Traction Control System): Enhances grip and stability during acceleration.
  • ESC/AYC (Electronic Stability Control/Active Yaw Control): Improves handling and safety during sharp maneuvers.

CES engineers overcame significant challenges to ensure the MK100 system complied with road safety regulations while preserving the X-Bow’s dynamic performance. The result is a vehicle that offers everyday usability without compromising its sporty essence.

Seamless Collaboration for Exceptional Results

The project exemplifies the power of collaboration between CES and KTM. Through close teamwork, the engineering teams overcame technical and regulatory challenges to deliver braking systems that cater to both motorsports enthusiasts and road drivers.

Frank Helbig, Technical Project Lead at CES, emphasized:

“Collaboration in such projects is essential for success, and in this case, it worked excellently. We maintained close communication throughout, and KTM proved to be an exceptional partner.”

Christian Sams, Head of R&D for KTM X-Bow, added:

“We were assigned a highly motivated and committed team. It was clear that everyone was passionate about bringing out the best in the vehicle. There were no compromises, and the result is simply perfect.”

Advanced Braking Systems for Every Drive

Whether on the racetrack or public roads, CES’s advanced braking systems ensure the KTM X-Bow delivers superior performance, safety, and reliability. The Motorsports ABS Kit allows racers to achieve precision braking, while the MK100 system strikes the perfect balance for road users.

This partnership between CES and KTM demonstrates how cutting-edge technology can be tailored to meet specific needs, delivering outstanding results for high-performance vehicles and driving enthusiasts alike.
