LAS VEGAS – Brembo, world leader and acknowledged innovator of brake technology, unveiled all-new brake calipers for off-road racers this week at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas.

The new Brembo XC1 off-roadcaliper is a 6-piston monobloc all-aluminum racing caliper especially designed for off-road competition. Encompassing the data derived from winning the Baja 1000 on Rob MacCachren’s Trophy Truck and more than 30+ off-road events the XC1 encompasses the latest in design and material innovations offering the best combination of strength, durability, and driver feel.

The XC1 features internal ducts that the brake fluid passes through which have been carefully engineered to guarantee maximum bleedability of the system. This design is especially beneficial to off-road competitors as rocks and debris cannot break or bend the fluid passages that are frequently found on the outside of the caliper. The calipers feature a billet asymmetric body with a fixed tangential bridge. In addition, the fluid inlet/bleed screw have been repositioned for better protection from debris.

Brembo XC1 Off-Road Caliper Brake Specifications:

  • One-piece platform design, using the latest generation of load optimization software, increased stiffness by 40 percent meaning less compliance and greater load transfer.
  • Revised internal fluid passages allow for easy bleeding at multiple mounting angles.
  • Repositioned fluid inlet/bleed screw ports for better protection from debris.
  • Designed to go with Brembo’s 355-380 mm vented cast iron disc.

The Brembo XC1 calipers and discs can be purchased at Brembo partner Race Technologies LLC.
