The Brembo Group has officially marked its 50th anniversary in motorsport by surpassing 1,000 world titles since its entry into the sector in 1975. This operational milestone coincides with the company’s recent acquisition of suspension manufacturer Öhlins, a move designed to consolidate its leadership position within the racing industry.

Formula 1 and MotoGP Achievements
The 2025 season represented a significant period for Brembo’s technical partnerships. In Formula 1, cars equipped with Brembo brakes or AP Racing brakes and clutches won all 24 races of the season. Since 1975, the company has recorded 555 victories out of 875 Grands Prix.
In MotoGP, the Group continued its prevalence in the premier class. Marc Marquez secured the title riding a Ducati Desmosedici GP #93 fitted with a Brembo braking system, Marchesini wheels, Öhlins suspensions, and AP Racing clutches. Since 1976, the company has achieved over 600 victories in the 500cc and MotoGP classes.

Expansion Across Global Racing Series
Beyond open-wheel racing, the Group maintained a strong presence in the WorldSBK championship. Toprak Razgatlıoğlu secured victory for the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team using Brembo brakes and Öhlins suspensions.
The Group also supplied components for the following series:
- World Endurance Championship (WEC): Brembo supplied brake components, including brake-by-wire systems, for the Ferrari 499Ps at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and FIA WEC.
- IMSA: Recognized as the Official Braking Technology Partner, Brembo supplied numerous teams across the championship.
- NASCAR: The Group provided braking systems and suspensions across all three major categories, supporting performance on both ovals and road circuits.
- Moto2 and Moto3: Riders such as Diogo Moreira and José Rueda utilized Brembo calipers and master cylinders alongside Öhlins suspensions.
Corporate Structure and Portfolio
The Group’s motorsport strategy relies on a portfolio of specialized brands, including Öhlins, Marchesini, AP Racing, SBS Friction, and J.Juan. This multi-brand approach allows for integrated technical solutions across various vehicle classes.
