Bosch Mobility Aftermarket has introduced its first-ever heavy-duty brake line — the Bosch HCV Air-Disc Brake Pads — expanding the company’s trusted braking portfolio into the Class 6–8 commercial vehicle segment. The new line, unveiled at AAPEX 2025 in Las Vegas (Booth #A4409), delivers OE-level performance, advanced friction stability, and reduced rotor wear for demanding heavy-duty applications.
Highlights
- Bosch HCV Air-Disc Brake Pads extend the brand’s braking expertise to Class 6–8 vehicles.
- Designed for long-haul and severe-service applications, offering OE-quality or better.
- Each pad set includes hardware and four pads, providing a complete brake job in one box.
- Meets FMVSS 121 standards for consistent, reliable braking across all duty cycles.
New Heavy-Duty Portfolio for Commercial Fleets
The launch marks Bosch’s official entry into the heavy-duty braking aftermarket, complementing its extensive product range of diesel systems, diagnostic tools, and workshop equipment.
“With our new heavy-duty Air-Disc pads, Bosch brings the same OE-level engineering and better-than-OE performance our customers expect,” said Bradley Reedy, Product Manager, Brakes at Bosch Mobility Aftermarket.
The lineup includes two key segments:
- Bosch Long Haul – developed for tractor-trailer and long-distance applications where extended wear and high-mileage durability are critical.
- Bosch Severe Service HD – engineered for high-heat, high-duty cycles such as refuse, bus, and vocational fleets.

Tested for Performance and Durability
Each pad undergoes rigorous testing to ensure compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 121, guaranteeing friction stability, temperature resilience, and braking consistency. According to Bosch, the pads meet or exceed OE mileage performance, extending service life and reducing downtime for fleet operators.
AAPEX Demonstration: “What’s Stopping You?”
Bosch is showcasing the HCV line during its “What’s Stopping You?” seminar at Booth #A4409. The presentation features performance data, real-world test results, and insights into Bosch’s continued investment in commercial vehicle innovation.
“We’ve been a leader in braking for nearly a century, and we’re proud to bring that reliability to the heavy-duty segment,” said Thu Teesdale, Director of Product Management at Bosch Mobility Aftermarket.
Advancing Bosch’s Aftermarket Leadership
The introduction of the HCV Air-Disc Brake Pads reinforces Bosch’s strategy to deliver premium, OE-quality solutions across all vehicle classes — from passenger cars to the most demanding commercial fleets.
