At Busworld Türkiye 2024, ZF unveils cutting-edge technologies aimed at enhancing decarbonized, connected, and safe passenger transport. Decarbonization: Advanced Electric Drives

For the first time in Türkiye, ZF presents the AxTrax 2 LF, an advanced electric portal axle for low-floor city buses. This axle is part of ZF’s next-generation modular e-mobility kit, boasting an electric motor with hairpin winding technology and an 800V silicon carbide (SiC) inverter. The AxTrax 2 LF delivers a continuous output of up to 360kW and a peak torque of 37,300Nm, ensuring a 20% climbing ability for articulated buses with a gross vehicle weight of up to 29 tons with one drive axle.

  • Fully compatible with ZF’s air suspension and braking systems.

Safety Highlights

ZF’s extensive product portfolio supports OEM customers in enhancing road safety with components and full systems like the Autonomous Emergency Braking System, Blind Spot Information System, and Reversing Information System. The Collision Mitigation System (CMS) for city buses is a standout feature, detecting vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians to prevent collisions. The OnHand Electro-Pneumatic Handbrake improves vehicle safety and driver comfort, also serving as a key technology for autonomous driving.

Connectivity Solutions with SCALAR and Bus Connect

The SCALAR fleet orchestration platform optimizes road transport planning and dispatching, providing real-time, AI-based automated decision-making for Public Transport Operators. SCALAR EVO Flow is compatible with various vehicle peripherals, enabling fleet operators to utilize rich, proprietary vehicle and driver data.

Bus Connect, ZF’s digital fleet management solution, offers live demonstrations at Busworld. It aids fleet operators in saving costs, improving safety, and optimizing maintenance through valuable data insights.
