The 2025 World Car Finals Powered by Brembo have begun, unveiling the top ten and top five finalists in six prestigious categories. Winners will be revealed on April 16, 2025, at the World Car Awards ceremony during the New York International Auto Show. This year’s selection reflects the evaluations of 96 international automotive journalists from 30 countries. Finalists were chosen from an impressive pool of global contenders, with results tabulated by KPMG.

- Audi A5/S5, BMW X3, Ford Mustang, Hyundai Inster/Casper Electric, Kia EV3, Mini Cooper Electric, Suzuki Swift, Toyota Camry, Toyota Land Cruiser/250, Volkswagen Tiguan/Tayron.
- World Electric Vehicle Category: Top five include Hyundai Inster, Kia EV3, Porsche Macan Electric, Volkswagen ID. Buzz, and Volvo EX90.
- World Luxury Car Finalists: Lexus GX, Porsche Macan, Porsche Panamera, Volkswagen ID. Buzz, and Volvo EX90.
- World Performance Car Contenders: Bentley Continental GT Speed, BMW M5, Ford Mustang, Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, and Porsche Taycan Turbo GT.
- World Urban Car Candidates: BYD Seagull/Dolphin Mini, Hyundai Inster/Casper Electric, Mini Cooper, Mini Cooper Electric, and Suzuki Swift.
- World Car Design Finalists: Kia EV3, Mini Cooper, Toyota Land Cruiser, Volkswagen ID. Buzz, and Baojun Yunduo.
The finalists represent innovation, style, and performance across various categories, highlighting the global automotive industry’s progress.
Winners and Event Details
The 2025 World Car Awards ceremony will take place at the New York International Auto Show, marking 20 years of collaboration with the event. Winners in all six categories and the highly anticipated World Car of the Year award will be announced live.
