The Heinz Hermann Thiele family foundation has officially acquired majority shares in Knorr-Bremse AG and Vossloh AG. This significant move ensures the continuity of Thiele’s entrepreneurial legacy and establishes a stable foundation for future growth. The acquisition follows Thiele’s last will and testament, marking a pivotal moment in the companies’ histories.

    • Shares were transferred through a legacy fulfillment contract involving Nadia Thiele, widow and heir, and Robin Brühmüller, the executor.
  • Foundation Mission:
    • Established in 2023, the foundation aims to safeguard Thiele’s entrepreneurial achievements and ensure a stable environment for sustained growth.
  • Leadership Structure:
    • Operational management is led by a three-member board, including Stephan Sturm (Chairman), Robin Brühmüller, and Julia Thiele-Schürhoff.
    • The board of trustees includes Dr. Hans-Ulrich Engel (Chairman), Prof. Dr. Stephan Schauhoff, Dr. Alexander Stupp, and Dr. Lorenz Zwingmann.
