JRD Motorsport aims to revolutionize American rallying with the ARC2 by balancing FIA-level performance with affordability. “We are excited about the opportunity to help form the future of American rally,” said JRD Motorsport founder Johan Ragnarsson. The ARC2 will be built under a unique blend of FIA RC2 specifications and ARA Open Class regulations, bridging the gap between elite European rally cars and the demands of the American market.

Two-time World Rally Champion Marcus Grönholm brings his expertise to the ARC2 as the lead development and test driver. “Bringing quality rally cars to drivers makes for great competition and is essential for the growth of the sport,” said Grönholm. His vast experience in World Rally Championship (WRC) will ensure the ARC2 is uncompromising in performance and reliability.

The ARC2 will feature a bespoke spec engine engineered to match the performance of its European Rally2 counterparts, ensuring competitive capabilities on American rally stages. Preston Osborn, ARA Series Manager, emphasized the importance of the project: “We are looking forward to the creation of a car built and designed within the USA following the Rally2 theory; a top-level car at an obtainable price to promote close competition within the ARA Championship.

With a history of five national rally championships and multiple circuit racing victories, JRD Motorsport is poised to make the ARC2 a game-changer in American rallying. The collaboration with PFC Brakes further solidifies the vehicle’s potential for success, as PFC’s reputation for precision and durability will ensure optimal performance in the most demanding rally conditions.
