Meneta Composite Materials Earns Coveted IATF16949:2016 Certificate, Launches OEM-Grade Product Line

COPENHAGEN, Denmark – Meneta Composite Materials (MECM) has recently acquired the IATF16949:2016 certificate, a prestigious automotive quality standard acknowledged by the Bureau Veritas Group.

As the only standard universally recognized by leading automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), MECM’s attainment of this certification underscores its commitment to quality and rigorous manufacturing standards.

“Securing the IATF16949:2016 certificate is a testament to the diligence and tenacity of our team, who strived to meet the stringent requirements of one of the most quality-demanding industries,” said Jan Bo Sørensen, COO of MECM. “We’re particularly grateful for Bente Søndergaard’s coordination efforts on this project. It’s a tremendous accomplishment to see various departments collaborate towards a common objective and achieve it.”

The announcement coincides with the release of MECM’s new OEM-grade product, a strategic move anticipated to strengthen the company’s positioning in the global composite materials market.

“Our newly launched OEM product, coupled with our IATF16949:2016 certification, enables us to deliver high-quality materials that meet the exacting standards of the market,” Sørensen added.

The IATF16949:2016 certificate assures a robust quality management system that adheres to the highest requirements of the automotive sector. The certification also signals a risk-oriented approach to addressing challenges within the distribution chain and lifecycle, with a keen focus on continuous improvement, efficiency, and performance monitoring.

MECM, a subsidiary of Meneta Group, specializes in the production of materials for vibration insulation, sealing, and acoustic markets. The company employs advanced liquid NBR-rubber technology, achieving very low tolerances with thicknesses ranging from +/- 10 µm to 120 µm. The liquid rubber can be applied to various metal carriers or liners and is customized according to specific customer requirements.
