Mack Trucks, Inc. has issued a recall for 142 towing vehicles spanning model years 2010-2025 due to missing anti-lock brake system (ABS) warning lights and circuitry for attached trailers. This defect fails to meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 121 requirements for air brake systems, potentially increasing the risk of a crash if a trailer’s ABS malfunctions. The recall impacts 2010-2018 MRU and 2019-2025 Terrapro models that were built as towing vehicles.

As of now, no warranty claims, field reports, accidents, or injuries related to this issue have been reported. All affected vehicles still in production were placed on hold as of December 8, 2024 and will not be released until properly equipped.
