Ford’s Remarkable Progress

Ford’s recall numbers dropped dramatically from 8.7 million in 2022 to 4.1 million in 2024—a more than 50% improvement. In Q4 2024, the automaker issued just 76,000 recalls, a stark contrast to its Q1 peak of 2.2 million.

  • Tesla: 696,787 recalls for Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, resolved through an OTA update for braking issues.
  • General Motors: 615,000 recalls for defective brake control modules in Silverado and Sierra models.
  • Hyundai: 450,000 recalls for potential ABS short circuits in Tucson and Santa Fe vehicles.
