20 November 2018 – Leading global OE manufacturer, TMD Friction, has made a key promotion within its technical team to bolster its training resources on a global scale.
With more than 24 years’ experience within the automotive industry, Scott Irwin, former Technical Manager at TMD Friction, has been promoted to Head of Technical Training. Within this role, Scott will be responsible for developing new training platforms globally.
Once developed, the training resources will be available internally and externally, to ensure that technical and sales staff are up-to-date with best practice while supporting mechanics and garages and suppliers with technical information. As well as helping to create and coordinate the new platforms, Scott will lead TMD Friction’s team of trainers, which is responsible for delivering training across the regions.
The new role is intended to bolster the expertise of the manufacturer’s technical training teams globally in line with TMD Friction’s position as a leading manufacturer.
Commenting on the new role, Scott Irwin, TMD Friction’s Head of Technical Training, said: “Having worked with TMD Friction for five years, I am pleased to be taking on another exciting challenge within the company. Technical support is a significant part of our business that helps to support customers from factory to garage level. I am now looking forward to creating new ways on working to better support our customer base on a global scale.”
