We’re thrilled to introduce you to the very first issue of The BRAKE Report Magazine! This quarterly publication is our next step in bringing you in-depth, brake-related information that you’ve come to rely on from our website and weekly eNewsletter.
You might be wondering why we’re changing the name from BrakeLine. It’s simple: we want all our brake information under one brand that has been illuminating the industry for over a decade. Over the years, The BRAKE Report has evolved from a short weekly newsletter into a producer of original content, buyers’ guides, and feature stories that provide a broad look at the braking world and its related areas.
Here’s a sneak peek at what’s inside this issue:
Spotlight on Ultra-Premium Brakes: We’re diving into the Ultra-Premium brake segment in the U.S., a niche that doesn’t always get much attention. Akebono, a leader in this space with components made exclusively in North America, is our focus this time.
AEB Mandate Insights: We’ve got an exclusive interview with a Consumer Reports engineer discussing why they’re backing the federal government’s AEB mandate so strongly. Their automotive testing has shaped the American marketplace for years.
ADAS Loop Feature: Alongside our AEB coverage, we’re highlighting the ADAS loop – a new addition to Consumer Reports’ Connecticut facility, thanks to our interview subject, a major architect of this enhancement.
Industry Insights with FMSI: We’re bringing you an in-depth interview with FMSI president, Frank Oliveto, to explore their role in the industry.
SAE Brake Colloquium Preview: Mark your calendars for September 15-18 in Grapevine, Texas! We’ve got a preview of the 42nd Annual SAE Brake Colloquium from our chat with Marc Leduc.
We hope you enjoy this issue as much as we enjoyed putting it together. Stay tuned for more comprehensive and engaging content from The BRAKE Report.
As always, we appreciate the support of our Industry Partners who help make this all happen!
