Hyundai Mobis Winter Test Event

Hyundai Mobis, a leading automotive supplier, invites global automakers like Mercedes-Benz and BMW to a winter testing event in Sweden. Starting on the 29th, this event aims to demonstrate the company’s advanced braking and steering safety technologies under the extreme conditions of snow and ice. Hyundai Mobis’s initiative reflects its commitment to technological excellence and global partnership expansion.

Scheduled from the 29th in Arjeplog, Northern Sweden, the “MOBIS Winter Driving Experience” will offer a practical demonstration of electronic braking and steering innovations, including next-generation electrification technologies like the in-wheel system. This marks the company’s first large-scale winter technology demonstration aimed at a broad international audience. Ten vehicles will be available for hands-on testing by engineers from prestigious global automakers.

The primary objective of this event is to allow clients to firsthand assess the effectiveness of critical safety technologies in adverse winter conditions, emphasizing passenger safety. Arjeplog’s harsh environment, with temperatures plunging to -40°C, provides an ideal setting for rigorous testing of braking stability, body control, and turning capabilities.

A standout feature of the event is the demonstration of the in-wheel system, a pioneering electrification technology offering enhanced driving efficiency and stability. This initiative underscores Hyundai Mobis‘s confidence in its safety technology and its dedication to rigorous product development through extreme environment testing.

In addition to its Swedish site, Hyundai Mobis utilizes winter testing grounds in China and New Zealand to ensure year-round performance verification. The company’s strategy includes hosting regular technology events to foster business collaborations and expand its customer network, building on a record $9.22 billion in global orders last year.
