AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The Friction Materials Standards Institute – FMSI – has launched a new version of www.FMSI.org for its global aftermarket audience. The new version is user friendly and supports a number of modern features everyone is accustomed to. The new site reflects the commitment FMSI made to modernize and upgrade, while improving services to its global membership.

According to Frank Oliveto, institute President, “We have implemented a continuous improvement mindset says Oliveto. Post launch, new features will be added to the website. Members will be able to order and pay for catalogs online, registration for the Brake Weekend will also be handled entirely online. For those looking to become members of FMSI the applications will be available as fillable pdfs that can be immediately submitted for review. We feel this new version of FMSI.org really compliments the newly launched best in class E-catalog!”

In conjunction with the launch of the new E-catalog, the institute offers a members-only training session via webinar! For those interested but could not attend, the video is embedded at www.fmsicatalog.org under the “HELP” tab. Of course, those interested can also contact the FMSI office directly by phone or email.

Founded in 1948 as a trade organization, FMSI and FMS are registered trademarks of Friction Materials Standards Institute. The institute created the standard part numbering system for brake and clutch facings.
