A Key Focus in the Aftermarket
As the automotive industry shifts toward sustainable practices, Continental’s ATE New Original product line aims to position workshops as partners in the transition to electric drives and eco-friendly brake systems. “We support this transition to sustainable mobility with our OEM know-how and present more environmentally friendly products – all without sacrificing performance,” said Enno Straten, Head of Automotive Aftermarket.
ATE New Original
The ATE New Original product line is designed to address the challenges of electromobility by offering brake systems that are copper-free and compliant with US Better Brake Law standards. These products will be available for popular electric vehicle models such as the VW ID.3, Tesla Model S, and Polestar 2 by spring 2025. This new line underscores Continental’s focus on both technological innovation and sustainability, helping workshops meet upcoming regulatory requirements like the Euro 7 particulate emissions reduction.
ATE SecuBrake
Eco-Friendly Brake Fluid ATE SecuBrake, part of the ATE New Original line, is produced using the ISCC PLUS certified mass-balance process. This method significantly lowers the brake fluid’s CO2 footprint while also eliminating the need for hazardous substance labeling. ATE SecuBrake exceeds the performance requirements for DOT 4 brake fluids, ensuring optimal safety and efficiency for electric vehicles.
Continental’s new range of sustainable products reinforces its position as a leader in the automotive aftermarket, offering eco-friendly solutions that help workshops navigate the future of mobility.
