WANGARA, Australia — Advanced Braking Technology Limited (ASX: ABV) (ABT or the Company) informed shareholders of an important milestone, successfully completing delivery of the 1,100th hill hold brake system to Thales for the Hawkei PMV (Hawkei).

The Hawkei is delivering a new generation of highly protected, versatile and fully C4I integrated vehicle, able to operate in high threat environments. And meeting the requirements of the modern defense force.

The hill hold system designed by ABT for the Hawkei is a secondary safety system that provides additional capability to the vehicles’ incumbent brakes allowing it to meet stringent gradiant parking requirements.

The ABT hill hold brake solution is present on all ADF supplied Hawkei vehicles and will continue to be installed on future deliveries, with ABT providing spare part and engineering support for the life of the program.

ABT designed and engineered the hill hold braking system for the Thales Hawkei as supplied to the Australian Defence Force.

The design solution provided to Thales for the Hawkei includes intellectual property previously developed by the Company, which is being utilized in the proven and trusted FailSafe (SIBS) brake that has been used extensively within both the Australian and international mining and construction sectors over many years.
