Wilwood Caliper for Classic Air-Cooled VWs

Source: Wilwood Engineering announcement

CAMARILLO, Calif. — Many classic air-cooled Volkswagens now have two to three times their original power and need improved braking to match. Wilwood Engineering’s DynaPro single opposed-piston caliper was engineered as a direct upgrade for 1966-79 VW Beetles and other air-cooled classics.

The billet aluminum two piston caliper was designed using finite element analysis to maintain structural integrity and provide greater clamping force by reducing deflection.

DPS-VW directly replaces ATE calipers used with 278mm (10.95”) diameter rotors on Type-1 Beetle and Super Beetle. Available in Type-III Hard Anodized or with a gloss red or black powder coat finish.
