Vauxhall has issued a recall of Astra cars made between 2016-2018 over a possible safety concern related to the brakes. Astra 1.6 Diesel cars with a manual transmission manufactured in that time could have experienced problems with the braking, reports the car firm.
It said in a statement that versions of the Astra “have experienced, in some isolated cases, extended pedal travel and a reduction in braking power when the brake pedal is applied slowly and constantly.”
Motorists are now being urged to check to see if their car’s braking system is affected. Drivers of these cars are being urged to check the braking system and replace the hydraulic fluid in the system.
