Suprajit Engineering Limited has expanded its operations with the introduction of a Braking Products Division, marking a significant stride in its product diversification efforts. Situated in a modernized facility at Bommasandra Industrial Area, Bangalore, this new division is poised to commence deliveries to select Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers and the aftermarket within this quarter.

The newly established division will encompass a broad spectrum of braking components, including brake shoes, pads, liners, Combined Braking Systems (CBS), and Mechanical Disc Brake Systems (MDBS). This initiative is designed to bolster Suprajit’s position as a comprehensive provider of braking solutions to its esteemed clientele. For the interim, the financial outcomes of this division will be incorporated within the Domestic Cable Division’s (DCD) financial reports.

Reflecting on the expansion, Mr. Ajith Kumar Rai, the Founder and Chairman of Suprajit Group, remarked, “Our journey to develop a comprehensive range of proprietary products is taking a firm shape through Suprajit Technology Centre (STC). Our expertise to scale up and manufacture to serve industry-leading OEMs and the aftermarket is taken to a new dimension and is now ‘Beyond Cables’. After starting the Suprajit Electronics Division (SED) in November 2022, launching another division as a business vertical is a significant step in making Suprajit a name to reckon with, in the auto component industry”.

In the stock market, Suprajit Engineering Limited’s shares were last observed trading on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) at Rs. 390.15, slightly below the previous close of Rs. 393.60. The trading day saw a total of 20,463 shares exchanged across 2,943 trades, with the stock reaching a high of Rs. 396.45 and a low of Rs. 386.80. The day’s net turnover was reported at Rs. 8,001,459.00.

This launch signifies Suprajit Engineering’s ongoing commitment to innovation and its ambition to extend its market reach beyond its traditional cable manufacturing base, highlighting a strategic evolution in its business model.
