Hawk Performance Phasing Out HPS in favor of HPS 5.0 for High Performance Street Use

Hawk Performance made the following announcement today via email:

As we previously announced we are acting upon our customers excellent suggestions whenever possible. Included in those comments are that we have too many compounds that are very similar in performance and serve the same markets. We, at Hawk Performance, are happy to inform you of an additional product line change for the better.

As of today’s date, we will begin to phase-out our HPS compound. We will move existing part numbers over to our proven HPS 5.0 compound where sales dictate. We agree with you that we have too many similar compounds which require additional stocking inventory and adds to customer confusion for compound selection.

The HPS 5.0 compound is similar in application with a strong focus on improving the already great properties of HPS. This compound offers stronger fade reduction, increased stopping power, easier modulation, and a decrease in wear, noise, and dust. In short, this compound can take more abuse while maintaining great street friendly performance characteristics!

To allow you time to prepare for this change, we will continue to take orders for our HPS compound for sixty days, ending at midnight February 1st, 2019. During this transition period, we strongly advise to change you or your customers over to the HPS 5.0 compound as soon as possible to take advantage of this improvement.  Any inventory of HPS pads that remain after February 1st, 2019 will still be available for sale while supplies last. To help you during this transition we will waive our UMAP monitoring on the HPS compound.

Please contact your sales or customer service representative for further details with any questions. We want to make sure our distribution partners are aware of all the changes and we ask that you continue with your great market feedback.

Thank you for your continued support of Hawk Performance products. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
