EuroBrake “Voice of the OEM” Panelists

STANSTEAD, U.K. – FISITA announced the panelists for the “Voice of the OEM” at this year’s upcoming EuroBrake 2023 Sept. 12-14 in Barcelona.

EuroBrake is the annual gathering of the leading brake-industry individuals and organizations.

The panel, scheduled for 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, will be moderated by Sebastian Gramstat from Audi AG and Rick Kaatz, KB Autosys.

The panelists are scheduled to be:

  • Pierre Garnier, Senior Manager Brakes Engineering, Jaguar Land Rover
  • Jarek Grochowicz, Technical Specialist Brakes, Ford Werke GmbH
  • Michael Lingg, Director Brake and Actuation, Volkswagen AG
  • Donghoon Kang, Head of Mid-Large Vehicle Chassis Engineering Design Group, Hyundai Motor Company
  • Kai Alexander Struck, CE Manager Brake & Steering System / Global Leader / Foundation Brakes, Stellantis

This distinguished panel of engineering leaders from the OEM brake community will discuss recent successes and challenges. FISITA is asking the audience to come prepared to ask questions and engage with these industry leaders in a direct and open discussion between the OEMs and the brake industry.

Here is background on one of the speakers, Pierre Garnier

Pierre Garnier is Head of Brakes Engineering at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). In this role, he is leading his team to deliver braking attributes, systems and commodities into program to meet business objectives.

He has 20 years of experience in the automotive braking field. He started this journey in September 2003 at Renault-Nissan and developed experience through different projects. He occupied different roles from project component engineer to senior engineer on all brakes commodities from upstream to Job #1. He was also leading system design and implementation of new brakes technologies to support the company’s electrification strategy in a multicultural environment.

Garnier joined JLR in 2014, and created and led a brakes system architecture team to implement System engineering before moving into his current position in 2020.
