Essen, Germany – Hella Pagid, the Bremen-based brake system specialist for the independent parts market and joint venture of automotive suppliers TMD Friction and HELLA has expanded its range of light commercial vehicle brake parts. Hella Pagid now offers more than 700 brake pads, around 600 brake discs and over 560 brake calipers specially designed for light commercial vehicles.

Due to high mileage accumulation coupled with high total weight and maximum speeds of up to approximately 170 km / h (106 mph) the spare parts for light commercial vehicles must have both a high load capacity and a long service life. The majority of Hella Pagid brake discs for light commercial vehicles are therefore made of carbonated gray cast iron which causes quick heat dissipation and thus optimal braking performance even in extreme situations.

In combination with the Hella Pagid brake linings, which are adapted for light commercial vehicles, there is little wear despite high braking performance. To ensure its properties, a brake pad goes through up to 300,000 test kilometers (186,000) and approximately 1,000 test hours during its development.

Numerous well-known vehicle manufacturers have been relying on the original equipment expertise of PAGID for decades and deliberately opt for its brake components. The original equipment know-how of the PAGID brand flows into every brake pad from Hella Pagid and reflects the special strength of the company in the independent aftermarket.
