Loose Brake Pedal: Ford Recalls 2024 Mustangs

Ford is recalling 66 2024 Mustang vehicles due to a potential loose brake pedal issue. A missing flare on the brake pedal arm pivot tube can cause the pedal to become unseated, impacting braking function and increasing the risk of a crash.

Affected vehicles:

  • 2024 Ford Mustang
  • Production dates: June 7, 2023 – October 25, 2023
  • VIN range: Not sequential

What to do:

  • Stop driving your vehicle immediately.
  • Contact your local Ford dealer to schedule a free repair. Dealers will replace the brake pedal and bracket assembly.
  • Ford has not yet mailed owner notification letters, but they are expected to be sent between December 18th and 22nd, 2023.
