Knorr-Bremse Boasts Lower LCA CO2 Footprint

Manufacturer Knorr-Bremse announced today that its new generation of commercial disc brakes, SYNACT and NEXTT, create about a 10% drop on CO2 emissions compared to its previous generation of brakes.

Knorr-Bremse performed a life cycle assessment (LCA) to determine this figure.

The company also announced that its Active Caliper Release-System can deliver fuel savings of up to 1%, potentially reducing CO2 emissions by up to 1 ton per year per commercial vehicle.
