Frankfurt, Germany – The CAREYE® SAFETY ANGLE was announced in February 2019 followed by record-breaking implementation of this system enabled AVI Systems Ltd. to present it at the at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA), one of the largest and most important international motor shows in the world.
Turning assistants warn truck and bus drivers when pedestrians and cyclists are at risk when turning from one road to another. CAREYE® SAFETY ANGLE reduces drastically the danger of the blind spot, which is often the cause of accidents. On the basis of artificial intelligence, people and cyclists are recognized and the driver is reliably warned acoustically and/or optically in real time.
CAREYE® SAFETY ANGLE turning assistant by AVI Systems GmbH combines high-tech camera monitor systems with artificial intelligence and algorithms. Both, hardware and software are AVI Systems´ in-house developments.
Due to the resulting fields of vision and thus environmental information around the vehicle, further safety-relevant data are determined and made available for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
