Wilwood Engineering has unveiled its latest innovation: big brake kits for the 1995-99 BMW E36 M3 and 1998-01 BMW Z3 models. These kits incorporate the high-performance Superlite six-piston calipers and Spec37 iron alloy rotors, promising enhanced brake torque and extended pad life. This advancement is primarily attributed to the differential bore piston sizes featured in the radial mount caliper design.

The kits boast lightweight FNSL6R caliper bodies, meticulously crafted from top-grade aluminum alloy billets. These calipers deliver formidable stopping power while maintaining durability through Type III hard anodizing. The inclusion of one-piece stainless steel pistons further augments this durability, offering high corrosion resistance and reduced heat transfer. Additionally, the kits are equipped with large 14.00” x 1.25” rotors that are black E-coated for longevity and feature 72 curved cooling vanes. These rotors are attached to lightweight forged aluminum hats, and customers can select between GT slotted or SRP drilled and slotted rotor faces.

The brake kits come standard with BP-10 street performance brake pads, although a variety of other compounds are available to suit different applications. Aesthetic customization is also offered through gloss red or black powder-coated calipers, with an option for 24 additional colors at an extra cost. For enhanced performance, stainless braided Flexline kits are optionally available.

With a starting MSRP of $2,372.70, these kits represent a significant upgrade for enthusiasts looking to enhance their vehicle’s braking performance without compromise.
