STANSTEAD, U.K. – Dr. Panagiota Dilara, Senior Expert, European Commission, DG-GROW will discuss the Euro 7 particulate-emission standards during the Opening Plenary session at this EuroBrake 2023.
EuroBrake 2023, produced by FISITA, runs from Sept. 12-15 at the Barcelona International Convention Centre (CCIB).
“A forward-looking regulation: Euro 7 and the development of brake particle emission standards” will be the topic of Dr. Dilara’s presentation at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12th, the first day of the three-day event in Barcelona.
The latest version of the Euro 6 emission standards in Europe with the introduction of real driving emission tests led to the improvement of emission controls in cars and vans in Europe.
The Euro 7 proposal by the European Commission is the first attempt worldwide to limit brake particle emissions, based on extensive work done in the UN GRPE Informal Working Group on Particle Measurement Program (PMP).
The proposal is currently under negotiation with the European Parliament and Council.
Dr. Dilara joins Dr. Marko Weirich, Senior Manager CAE Functions & Analytics, Daimler Truck AG, who will be presenting a keynote during the opening plenary session. Dr. Weirich will cover “Endurance Brake System for the Mercedes-Benz eACTROS Long Haul” during his portion of the event.
