Wilwood Releases Big Brake Kits for C8 Corvette

CAMARILLO, Calif. — The rear-engine eighth-generation Chevrolet Corvette delivers exotic performance and style. Wilwood Disc Brakes has engineered an upgraded SX6R front big brake kit with Lug-Drive™ technology using dynamically mounted 15-inch diameter rotors, which provide increased brake torque and greater thermal capacity.

Proprietary Lug-Drive, floating Spec37, long-grain iron alloy rotors are dynamically mounted to the hat to allow heat expansion without distortion through repeated heat cycles.

Rotors are 2.3-inch larger in diameter than the base model, 1.7-inch larger than the Z51, and slightly larger than the Z06. This increased size improves braking performance, with an added benefit of filling the wheels to improve style.

The differential-bored, stress-flow forged aluminum Speed Xtreme, SX6R six piston front calipers have reinforced ends and a central bridge that virtually eliminated deflection. Calipers are available in gloss red or black powder coat and 22 optional colors (additional charges apply).

The new Chevrolet Corvette Big Brake Kits have a starting MSRP at $4,617.90.
