WABCO Accelerates Autonomous Driving Platform

WABCO is looking to turbocharge its autonomous driving platform.

Yesterday, WABCO touted its partnerships with Chinese firms TUS Cloud Control, TrunkTech, and TuSimple.

Today, WABCO announced two new partnerships.

Valeo will work with WABCO on its next generation of sensor technologies. These include 77GHz radar and solid-state LiDAR. These sensors are key building blocks for vehicle autonomy.

Chinese Internet and artificial-intelligence company Baidu will also partner with WABCO. Baidu’s Apollo software is a leader in the autonomous passenger car space. The two companies will work together on software for commercial vehicles.
