The platform provides 14 hours of interactive virtual training focused on brake technology and vehicle maintenance.

The Textar Virtual Academy aims to support automotive garages by improving technician expertise, reducing errors such as improper brake installation that can cause noise, vibration, or costly returns. The platform’s flexible, on-demand format allows users to learn anytime and anywhere from any internet-enabled device.

Clement de Valon, EVP IAM at TMD Friction, emphasizes the company’s commitment to upskilling the aftermarket workforce to ensure safer mobility. The training includes topics relevant to both passenger cars and commercial vehicles, keeping technicians up to date with industry innovations.

During the pre-launch “Best in Braking” campaign, 270 users tested the platform and rated it 4.8 out of 5 stars, indicating high satisfaction. The Textar Virtual Academy is currently accessible in the U.S., Mexico, and select European countries, including the UK, Germany, Poland, Ireland, and Romania. Plans to expand language offerings and regions are underway.
