Sandberg to Retire from Brembo N.A.

PLYMOUTH, Mich. – Daniel M. Sandberg will be retiring July 10th from his position as president and chief executive officer of Brembo North America following more than 14 years at the company.

Stephane Rolland, president and CEO of Brembo China Brake Systems Co., Ltd, will move into the North American role as Sandberg’s successor.

A spokesperson for the company confirmed these changes but said the company would not be making any further announcements or offering any further details.

Sandberg joined Brembo N.A. in Nov. 2007 following a 14-year stint with Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc., where he served in a variety of positions including President – Automotive Components Group; President, Automotive Brake, and Powertrain Components, and President, Brake Components.

An attorney who attended the University of Michigan for his undergraduate studies in economics and graduate ones in law and business, Sandberg had held several other positions prior to entering the automotive industry.

Rolland joined Brembo’s Chinese operation in 2017 following a 20-plus-year career at Delphi, first in its Paris-area office, then in Shanghai. In addition, he worked in a number of slots at Valeo in France.
