MULGRAVE, Australia – Mercedes-Benz Australia has issued a recall for 5,279 examples of its VS30 Sprinter van covering model years 2018 to 2020 due to potentially faulty brakes.

The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says the brake hoses may contact the rear part of the fender liner of the front axle while driving the vehicle, causing anything from chafe marks to worn-out brake hoses, resulting in leaking brake fluid.
