Martin Truex Jr. and Furniture Row Racing win NASCAR Championship with Brembo Brakes

DETROIT, (November 28, 2017) – Brembo, the world leader and acknowledged innovator of brake technology, was the stopping partner of choice for 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Champion Martin Truex Jr. and Furniture Row Racing.

Brembo helped the #78 Furniture Row Racing Toyota Camry team and driver Truex to win eight races this season. The team’s top performances included the win at the season finale at Miami-Homestead Speedway, the team’s road course win at Watkins Glen and their performance at Martinsville Speedway, known as the “paperclip”, the heaviest braking track on the NASCAR schedule, where the #78 car finished a career best second.

“We want to congratulate the entire Furniture Row Racing team on winning eight races and the NASCAR Championship,” Dan Sandberg, Brembo North America president and CEO said. “We are proud to be the braking partner of choice on the #78 Toyota Camry where Martin dominated the regular season with more stage wins than any other driver. Martin had impressive winning runs at heavy braking tracks like Watkins Glen and a great showing at Martinsville where the brakes glowed red at both ends of the paperclip.”

The #78 team used Brembo components at every race to perform at its best in all conditions.
