Cesare Savini has been appointed Vice President and General Manager of ITT Friction Technologies, reporting directly to Motion Technologies President Carlo Ghirardo, effective Jan. 1, 2019.
In this role, Cesare will be responsible for the ITT Friction Technologies business, including delivering on financial commitments, executing the operating plan, developing and executing the strategic roadmap, as well as managing operational excellence, commercial activities and people development. In the interim, Cesare will continue to manage MT’s Silao, Mexico, plant.
“Cesare brings with him a long and very successful track record,” Carlo said. “He started his career with Pirelli then after a few years moved to China to launch and manage several new plants and operations. He joined ITT in 2009 as the general manager of the Ostrava site, Czech Republic, ITT Friction Technologies and Koni, adding commercial responsibility for the Continental independent aftermarket business to his substantial operations experience. More recently, Cesare successfully launched our new state-of-the-art plant in Silao.”
